This page explains how your data is handled in the AI feature ("AI Partner") of "Kizamu" (the "Service"), a life-logging and time-tracking app, and the rights you can exercise. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Data the AI feature handles
| Category | Details |
| Conversation messages | The text you send to the AI Partner and the AI's responses |
| Context data | Goals, time records, reflections, ideal time allocation, and life-design highlights passed as context for generating responses |
| AI memory | A Markdown-format summary of the key points of your conversations, used across chats |
| Usage count | Your monthly message count (for limit management) |
2. Where data goes and is stored
- For response generation: The data needed to generate responses is currently sent to Google's Gemini API.
- AI service provider: For reasons such as quality, availability, and cost, we may change or add the AI service provider used to generate responses (currently Google) in the future. If we do, we will update this page and select a provider that offers equivalent privacy protections (including the "no use for model training" point below).
- Storage: Conversations, AI memory, and usage counts are stored under your account in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, region: Tokyo, asia-northeast1).
- No use for model training: With the paid Gemini API we currently use, per Google's terms, data sent via the API is not used to train Google's generative AI models (see Google's
Gemini API Additional Terms).
- International processing: As part of the AI service provider's processing, data may be processed outside your country.
3. What you can do in the app (your controls)
From "Settings › AI Partner › Memory management" you can, at any time:
- View, edit, or delete memory: See what the AI remembers (Markdown) and edit it directly or delete it entirely.
- Turn memory off: Disabling "Create and use memory from chats" stops new memory from being created and stops existing memory from being used in conversations.
- Delete all conversations: Remove all your past chats.
- Delete your account: From "Settings › Account", permanently delete your account and all data, including AI-related data.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the GDPR in the EU/UK), you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access (to obtain the data we hold)
- Rectification (to correct inaccurate data)
- Erasure (the "right to be forgotten")
- Restriction of, or objection to, processing
- Data portability (to receive data in a machine-readable format)
- Withdrawal of consent (you can withdraw consent to the AI feature anytime by turning off memory generation, deleting your account, etc.)
Many access, rectification, and erasure actions can be done directly via "3. What you can do in the app" above. For other requests, or for data portability, please contact us below.
5. How to exercise your rights / contact us
- Deletion: Use "Settings › Account › Delete account" in the app to delete all your data immediately.
- Other requests: Email us at the address below. We will respond in accordance with the law after verifying your identity.
6. Legal basis (for users in the EEA/UK)
We process data to provide the Service (performance of a contract) and based on legitimate interests. The AI feature is provided after you give consent in the app on first use. You may withdraw consent at any time as described above.
7. Retention
AI conversations, memory, and usage counts are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your account removes all user data, including these.
